Been obsessed with making Sake Cups at the studio. At the moment I have almost 75 that are just waiting to get bisqued. I am still slow at making these despite their simple form. I think I finally have the shape of it correct. The cups should be similar in height and width like a square but with a a noticeable foot.I am setting a goal to make 1000 of these cups. I use some free reclaim clay at the studio so I have to treat it as low fire clay as I am not sure of the firing temp. Saw way to many meltdown at cone 5/6. Experimenting with amaco lowfire glazes to see how they react to being layered and applied. Trying to develop a stamp that I can use to mark the pottery I make so I don't have to sign each one.
